PARTYGATE

25 May 2022
All the crocodile tears, ok never mind. Big question is:

"What did they know that we didn't?"

No-one risks throwing away their life for a glass of wine. Conclusion: there was no risk, not to these people. And they knew it.

For me, there are two possible explanations, one is political and the other psychological.

The, the govt, could not lock down particular sections of the population and let other groups, the majority, carry on with their life, without obviously risking huge civil strife and dislocation .

How could they lockdown the elderly, the weak and probably the poor and let the majority carry on and party through covid?

A quite different explanation from a human nature point of view and a quite sinister appreciation of Human Nature: this is what happens when a government wins absolute Power - they just abuse it. They abuse and take away our freedom, because they can - that's what almost all politicians are interested in : the power to control the lives of others ... sick, isn't it.

A taste of 1984, a taste of things to come, if you give them the chance to take away your freedom, you can be sure they will.

HOSPITALS CLEARED, ELDERLY COVID SENT HOME

28 April 2022

Matt Hancock: Public Health England to blame for sending patients to care homes without Covid tests

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/04/27/discharging-covid-patients-care-homes-unlawful-high-court-rules/

As usual, Matt is deserving only of praise.

1. Sending patients back untested was a political decision since its purpose was to clear the wards. I personally know of care homes that refused to re-admit untested patients at that time period ie from day 1. So it is not true that the cause was ignorance or lack of awareness and everyone knows asymptomatic transmission is usual.

2. Secondly, Matt held the highest post in the land. It is a really inane comment he makes when he says "well no-one told me". a) it is not true, as cited above, but more fundamentally b) it is the manager's job to think and ask questions.

3. Last point. The NHS and Matt had plenty enough time to consider and report on this - why did it take two years and an external enquiry?

Having said all that, we must be forgiving of each other as intentions were not malicious.

The advice given at the time by the author of this blogg was to spend £15 billion on isolating care homes and re-inforcing all covid-related measures. The focus should have been very much on the vulnerable and not a whole-society "whatever it takes" treatment, with the population of young fit and healthy being free to acquire immunity naturally, and the economy kept up and running as far as possible.

The reason for blanket lockdowns and door-to-door testing was the policy of zero-covid, zero tolerance. Not only is that unrealistic, it is unecessary.
A focused approach was needed. And in the focus is first the elderly. This is widely known and was obvious at the time, but public fear reached fever pitch. Now here's the thing.
This also explains Partygate. It explains a lot of the troubles in our society. Those in positions of responsibility know very well the risks are to minority groups and are otherwise negligeable, so parties are fine amongst the healthy; but the public and MSM so whip up a frenzy of fearful emotions that managers have to temporarly cede control to the mob.
This is an important point, in my humble estimation.

MORE COVID

19 March 2022

Older folk, the unwell, are very cautious, and understandably so.

In my country, covid is more and more common amongst the over-70s - 1 in 23 over 70s have covid, that is a lot and it is the highest it has ever been. But they are vaccinated so they dont notice. Nonetheless, the govt is under pressure to roll out the fourth jab.

In my country, about 2.6 million people have covid at the moment. That is 1 in 20. It is highest in school children : 1 in 16 have covid, that is more than 2 in every class.

Why is covid on the increase? Does it matter?

It is doubtless due to waning immunity and removing all restrictions. Also, there are more hospitalisations and deaths. So everyone - including you - will get covid at some point.

But if we are healthy and vaccinated there is a good chance we will be ok. And a person can get it twice, so I can catch it again.

But no worries, stay healthy, stay sensible.

STILL WE DONT KNOW WHERE THE VIRUS CAME FROM

There may be a connection between the Wuhan lab and the origin of the virus, but the world doesn't know, not as yet....
One theory is that the virus, which occurs naturally in bats and pangolins, escaped accidentally from the Wuhan research facility because of poor safety protocols.
After all, the Wuhan Institute of Virology studies coronaviruses in bats, that is one of its jobs. And it is right next to where some of the infections were first diagnosed.
Indeed on 2 December 2019 the lab moved down the road a short way, to new premises just a few hundred meters from the wet market...was that how the virus escaped, because of China's lax safety record in its labs? Or was the lab move part of its cover-up for something it knew had gone wrong?

On reflection, why was China even studying coronaviruses? What was its purpose? Was it part of a bio warfare weapons program?

FORWARD TO NEW NORMAL

Seems like we are on the way to understanding and living with this bug. We are more confident now and responsibility can be passed from State to the Individual, at lest for prevention.

Much remains to be done: complete the vaccination program, optimise Test and Trace, improve treatments (improve vaccines, hospital procedures, long covid convalescence ...), plan for future 'virus wars'.

Attention should go to rolling out the programs to countries outside the G7. The WHO could help coordination.
